***February 2016 ACT Discussion Thread***

@Nicolausparkon there’s a curve

yes… it was the one that was a whole number i remember

does anyone know when scores are released? in december they were released like 10 days after so will it be the same?

usually…

my SAT score comes out next thursday lol RIP

are you sure… omg thank god xD i was like plugging in a ton of numbers idk what was going on

im not gonna say the letter answer lol

@mhuff7716 I did that!!! Thanks for verifying!

ok good I think that’s what I had

yes… xD

Ok general impressions:
English: pretty okay…there was one about talking about the sculptor and whether or not the sentence was concise or too detailed and if you should get rid of it…? I changed my answer for that like five times. But otherwise not bad.
Math: Eh…reading through the thread I think I did worse than I thought…what’s the most you could get wrong and get like a 33-32?
Reading: Holy crap I surprised myself! I think I actually did really well!!
Science: Good up until the end where I basically burned out. Ahhhh was it 0 or 3%??? I said 0 because why not. I honestly don’t even remember the last few because I was just. so. over. it.

Essay: ??? idk it started well…??? I kind of died at the end.

Please god…if I can just get above a 32…

@speller95 I LITERALLY PRACTICED IT THE NIGHT BEFORE I WAS SO HAPPY IT WAS ON THE TEST!!!
I got 50
(watch me get it wrong now lolllllll)

When are we getting scores back

@kyrieIrving2 Wait what was the question?? I don’t remember it at all

UPDATE apparently I can get like 5 wrong and still have a 33
THERE IS HOPE

@SugarSmarts it was a system of equations where you had to find x/y, people on here seem to think the asnwer was 13/11 but that math is wrong, it was 13/2

English – a little iffy on some parts, but I still expect 30+. That first question on the last passage where no answer seemed correct killed me! If anyone knows what I’m referring to please pm me. Generous-ish curve hopefully.
Math – definitely easier than normal. I guessed a lot less than I usually have to, and I didn’t find the last 10 questions to be as hard as I usually do. I did guess on most of the ones you guys are talking about. I bet -1 will be a 35. I think I went with rectangle, and I think I got the cosine question right. I think only one of the choices had the law of cosines as an option… that’s what I chose.
Reading – I always do science - social studies - narrative - humanities instead of the given order. I did science in 7 and social studies in about just over 8 minutes, so I was feeling good until I got too relaxed and heard the proctor say “10 minutes remaining” with 6 questions left on the narrative. I had to guess on a few for the narrative and humanities. Loved the science passage though. Hoping for a nice curve, but it will probably be no more generous than average.
Science – I will still kind of shaken up from reading so I was fidget-y starting out. Only 1 data analysis :frowning: !! Conflicting viewpoints was very easy to understand to me and kind of interesting lol. The research summaries looked complicated but all had pretty simple questions. I said 3% because the line looked closer to the line for 5& than 0%. I got confused on time and completed the whole thing in 28 minutes thinking I only had 2 remaining, but I actually had 7 left. I assume it will be a harsh to average curve.

@realtwinkie As early as 2/17

@Faultystart I ran out of time too lmao I spent too much time on the first three paragraphs

@kyrieIrving2 Well I probably got it wrong hahaha
