***February 2016 SAT Makeup Thread***

@chelswalk882 I remember one saying that Find U: given that S = 3 and R = 8 and formula was U=R(S+3) = 88, what you’re asking is probably the y inversely proportional to z which was discussed earlier in this thread.

well i did poorly all around then lol

does anyone remember the one that was in terms of a and was like a triangle?

@LakersNation yeah it was 3a. you found the smaller triangle first in terms of a and then did the same for the big one and subtracted the two

@chelswalk882 the question was t:4 and u: 20 so it would be 1/5 and the answer was 5 :slight_smile:

such an idea vs the possibility of time travel

i put such an idea bc i thought saying the possibility of time travel was redundant :confused:
anyone say otherwise?

I put the possibility of time @jruesmith7 I thought that by saying such as idea it meant that you are referring to the previous scientists opinions. I put such an idea at first but changed it last minute D:

@smithstorm what other qs do you remember from 2? I spaced out on that section D: were there ones about the square becoming a rectangle and how many positive numbers in the 2 -2 -4 pattern of 60 numbers

Did anyone have a math question that asked about the sale price of a car??
It was like a car’s sale price, p, is reduced by x percent then the sale price is again reduced by y find the equation?

@TheAjBaj yes. The answer was p(x/100)(y/100)

@HopkinsHopeful I got p(1-x/100)(1-y/100) instead?

Can someone elaborate on #17 for the grid in for me? the 1/27 question? I forgot what that question was asking about.

@BlueDingus The length of the edges of a cube sums up to 4. What is its volume?

Can someone elaborate on the question with 3a? I don’t remember it
