D: what happened
what happened to flight D: he has bars and his comment got deleted
He probably got warned for posting that link.
D: oh nuuuuuu can he still post?
What are all of your answers? I’ll do them now @concreteolives
what’d you guys get for the maze passage CR problem where it asked the purpose of the passage? was it “to show the special meaning of a place to someone” or “to describe a disappointing experience”? I put the latter initially but changed to the former because technically more text was written on him reminiscing about his past experiences there and such. idk tho
I put to describe a disappointing experience because in general he talks about how the place he visited wasn’t as amazing as he remembered (such as his honey moon) @Schwinn71 I think he mostly compares his past experience with what he experiences at that moment.
i did the latter
Damn. Thanks guys. That seemed to be the popular consensus among my friends as well. Would love to hear more people weigh in though!
@Schwinn71 @amethyst2000 what did you put for the first tiny paragraph about rag time music? The question was something about the difference between rag time music and rag time song. I chose the difference in popularity but I remember someone here here claiming otherwise
@Schwinn71 what were the other options? also does someone wanna message me the link that flightzealot posted?
@sosoyumii I said that it was instrumental and vocal
It was instrumental and vocal. In the last couple of sentences, it stated that lyrics were added.
does anybody notice our messages going missing

@HopkinsHopeful Thanks so much! Is there any chance you could elaborate on how you analyze the books and historical events. I feel like I am a pretty decent writer, but it seems I can never analyze the books or events well enough to deserve higher than a 9. How many paragraphs would you suggest?
@Swimmerboy2 analyzing should not only consist of the plot and setting. Think more deeply- character development, reasons why antagonists are the way they are, how the point of view affects the way that the reader receives the story. For example, think of To Kill a Mockingbird. Idk if you’ve read it, but the narrator is a young girl. Her view on things is immature and juvenile, so the reader must recognize that things described by her may be too innocent of a viewpoint. Tuck examples like that into your belt and come up with possible essay prompts. For the example I just gave you, possible relative prompts may be bias, innocence, open mindedness, etc.
Don’t stress over this too much. Refresh your memory on some of your favorite books, interesting characters, and look through past essay prompts.
For historical events: History is plentiful! Focus on the events that interest you. You’ll have an easier time writing about something you really like. I love US History, so my examples often stem off of a US event. Think of why something happened: misunderstanding? Refusal to compromise?
As for the essay, I used 5 paragraphs. Standard, but it fit my ideas for the prompt. 1 strong thesis and intro (make sure thesis is direct and not drawn out! Be blunt if you have to) 1 paragraph for each example (don’t just touch lightly on each example. Elaborate and show that your analysis supports your position). I started each paragraph by stating the title or person, a short (2 sent.) summary of the character in relation to my argument, and then an analysis of the details. The last paragraph is the conclusion. Don’t be overly florid. Tie everything back to your thesis statement, but don’t reiterate it.
I hope this helps!
waiting for scores… ^:)^
I’m taking the March SAT too. This is stressful.
The amount of stress I’ve had this week is crazy. How has it only been 5 days.
