I didn’t have time to finish English and reading:(
Rank from hardest to easiest:
Science, Reading, English, Math
Hardest to easiest:
Science, Reading, Math (these three only varied in difficulty slightly and were ridiculously difficult)
and English (GOD BLESS ENGLISH)
All I can say is RIP to that 34 I really wanted! KMS!!!
@Laeri , I guess I dodged a bullet then by not signing up for the essay portion hahaha
Reddit is hilarious- you should see how everyone is reacting with the science section. It’s unanimous, the last passage was a totally foreign language to virtually everyone. I actually finished science with about 5 minutes to spare, which I used to blankly stare at the last passage in disbelief. Even with that extra time, I just couldn’t bring myself to answer one question with certainty.
I almost felt lighter after leaving the test room, as if all of my sins had been lifted.
My rankings from most difficult to least difficult
-Math (I took college level math and there was still questions I had no clue how to solve. Had to just bubble in random answers and hope for the best)
-Science (I felt confident at the beginning of the science section but was overwhelmed by how many charts and tables were on one page. Things just seemed very cluttered and I didn’t get to finish contrasting viewpoint, so I just guessed for like three of them)
-Reading (Pretty easy, but I probably should have been reading faster b/c I had to rush a little at the end. I ended up finishing about a minute before time)
-English (Nothing more to say than it was easy)
My essay, however, was complete TRASH! I didn’t like the prompt, couldn’t add a lot of supporting details, and didn’t even have time for a conclusion paragraph. Hopefully, my essay score went up at least a few points (wasn’t good to begin with). To make things worse, I left my calculator at the testing center…poor TI-84.
I feel like I stunk it up a bit…lol
Reading & Math meh
English…for some reason I got stuck at one point (it was more like playing mind games with myself)
I believe (and hope) I improved on the Science & Writing portions
IMO Science was the easiest section this go around…
I will FEEL BOMBED if I don’t get the score that I want…I’m beyond anxious waiting on the next 2 weeks
I agree with @mohammadmohd18
I loved the writing topic; I was most nervous about the writing but to me it was the easiest part of the test even though I prepared the least for it.
Has anyone’s status changed to “tested”?
My ranking:
- Science
- Reading (tied with science)
- Math
- English
Honestly the science was a breeze for me. My AP Bio teacher saved my life. Thought I did okay on reading, pretty good ok english and mid 20s for math. I was not happy with my math performance I’m aiming for at least a 30 for the Bright Futures scholarship but for my first test, I don’t think i did too bad.
the first batch of score won’t come out till next week, I doubt anyone’s status has changed now.
On a different issue, my kid told me that the room was so cold that her fingers turned blue…and she has to put on her hoodie. How can a school torture a kid like this? LOL
Daughter took the test at thought:
- science
- match
- English
- reading
Hoping a higher score to secure more money.
when should I expect my results back?
@WashUH0peful – From the ACT website: “After you test, you can check to see if your scores are available online. Multiple-choice scores from this test date will be first posted online beginning February 22 through April 7, 2017.
If your scores are not available on the first date listed above, plan to check back weekly up through the last date listed. Scores are processed and added each week, usually each Wednesday and Friday.” Hope that helps.
My status changed to Tested.
My D’s status has also changed to Tested. Does anyone know what time scores are available, assuming hers are available on the 22nd?
My son’s status has changed to tested, too. And that must have happened in the last 30 minutes, because I just checked it about that long ago and at that point it still said registered.
Same here, in the last couple of hours. I didn’t know if the holiday today would affect score release, but looks like we are on for Wednesday.
I think ACT does the midnight CST release. If so, then tomorrow night, should DS be awake (probably not!) the scores may be ready.
Does anyone still have access to print their Feb ticket? I don’t remember that being there after the previous test?
Tested - Florida
Hopefully we have great news, everyone!
OK, I checked the December thread and it looks like those were scheduled to come out at 8:00 a.m, central time. They came out a little late but I think within an hour of that time.
Good luck to all!
