February 2nd SSAT!

Did anyone take it? If so, post your thoughts!

I did and I thought some parts were easier compared to Jan 5th SSAT, but that's just me.

I took the Feb 2 SSAT. Thought I did great on Math and Reading, but only answered like half of the questions on verbal. Thought it was much more difficult than when I took the SSAT 2 years ago, imo.

I topk it too. Is it me or was the verbal even worse?? how do you guys think you did?

I thought verbal was ok…

I guess it’s just me then :stuck_out_tongue: verbal has always been my weakest.

I definitely found the math easier and the reading about the same, but the verbal way harder. I had words like Quixotic, and Abhor, and Conciliatory, which I did not know at all. Im worried it wont be that much different than my first one

EHSWFSMBURGHOPE, it seems like we took the same test as some of those words brush my memory. How many did you end up answering ?
When you prep for these tests, they tell you to make educated guesses from roots of words and such. I guess they didn’t have like 50% of the words in mind that were on my test…

Don Quixote was quixotic.
I abhor things that are horrid.
They reconciled in a very conciliatory manner.

Yes, these sentences are intentionally redundant, but the point is how to use easier words or associations to make those guessed.

I took it too, it was my first time. Thought it was a lot harder the thing that I found hard was the limited amount of time given. I took the upper level test and was able to answer 98.5%n of the test, I admit I had to guess in some of them. As everyone else I hope to get a good score but I dont know if it was a good idea to answer most of them although I tried to make an “educated” guess as they call it

I think knowing Spanish and French helped a LOT on the verbal section, did anyone had the same feeling? I couldnt finish the reading section since I ran out of time … but I only left 3 unanswered questions

Latin helps the most

I answered about 45/50 with about 6 guesses and 10 educated guesses. I took the six guesses on analogies, and I only guessed those because they shared common features with the example.

I took it. Math seemed much easier, reading harder, and verbal about the same. Being myself, I hate leaving answers blank so when I finished early, I went back and made educated guesses on everything verbal. Dumb mistake. Can’t wait for the scores though!
