***February 8 2014 Official ACT Results Thread***

Is a 9 good for writing? I was aiming for a 10 but oh well :frowning: def taking the act 3 more times but just wondering

@flowerchiid yea

Ugh, mine still says registered! I took the ACT June of sophomore year (last year) without studying and got 31 composite, 34 reading, 32 english, 28 math, 27 science, and 7 essay. I really want to see my new scores because even if I went up 1 point I would be fine with that since Iā€™m not applying to Ivies for the most part and 32/33 is a lot more competitive than 31. Any of you registered people getting your scores yet? ACTā€™s website is down right now so maybe that means theyā€™re uploading scores.

Just posted on another board that mine changed from Registered to Tested today. And even though Monday I called and they said no new scores would be up until Friday, my scores were up too. Keep checking.

Hey everyone, I was still registered last night and sadly have yet to receive my scores. Iā€™ve been trying to check today since about 6 but I keep getting ā€œTemporarily Unavailableā€ and was wondering if anyone else is having this problem?

Just got my score. Did WAY worse than I thought- most practice tests I took I got 33 comp. butā€¦
Comp - 29
E- 28 (Worse than most practice tests I took!)
M- 31 (Guessed on the last 3 & ran out of time for certain probs)
R- 22 (Yikes!)
S- 34 (The only section that I did better than I thought)

Was finally able to get my score, it turned out being the same as when I took practice exams but Iā€™m a little bummed because I always thought you did a little better on the actual exam then during a practice. Iā€™m definitely retaking though.
COMP - 30
E - 32
M - 28
R - 34
S - 27
Writing - 10

Finally got my scores as well! The site was down earlier for me. I took the ACT for the second time this Feb but it was the morning after a choir competition and I didnā€™t get to bed until about 2:30 am.
COMP-32 (up from 31)
E-33 (up from 32)
M-30 (up from 29)
R- 32 (down from a 34 in June)
S- 31 (up from 27!)
essay- 10 (up from a 7)
Even though my reading went down and I only increased comp score by 1, Iā€™m still fine with a 32 and especially since I hit 30 in all categories, I think it looks more consistent. Congrats to everyone else and their scores; Iā€™m now officially done with standardized testing except for SAT subject tests and AP exams :)

Happy with my score since Iā€™ve never taken this before! Iā€™m not gonna retake, and I donā€™t think I need to take the SAT either. Right?

Comp - 35
E - 35
M - 34
R - 35
S - 36

It says my writing scores are still not available. How is everyone else seeing theirs? Are mine just being scored late?

So close to being in the 30sā€¦which is what I want.
Comp - 29 (up from 27 in DEC)
English - 28 (up from 24)
Math - 32 (down from 33)
Reading - 22 (down from 26)
Science - 32 (up from 25!)
Writing - 9

Last time i took science I didnā€™t finish like 12 questions so no surprise on that score increase since i finished this time. My english also went up by 4 and I know i can be getting a 30 or more on that. Math Should be way higher, Im in AP Calc AB and all the content I have covered over a year ago, which is the problem. And then there is Readingā€¦ Any tips or strategies on that section?

My daughter still doesnā€™t have her scores. I know they said it could take up to 8 weeks. But does that actually ever happens? Next Friday is deadline for registering for next test so sheā€™s not sure what to do.

Did anyone have the 72A test? For reading I got 15ā€¦:frowning: I really struggled though the last ten questions. Did anyone else think it was harder than expected?

I did

My scores werenā€™t very impressive either, only positive is math which I got 35

Did you guys find this test to be hard?

I thought the Science was hard. It was my lowest section. I guess it is not supposed to be easy!

Anyone else still registered :frowning: I need to know soon. Iā€™m planning on transferring colleges.

@cassidys University of Texas at El Paso

Congrats on your score btw  how about you?

@cassidys haha sorry just realized how vague my question was lol. I meant what school is giving you your presidential?

My daughters still says registered. Very annoying. Next time theyā€™ll put up scores will be next Wednesday.
