33 M
33 R
31 S

@gamink348 If you are still listed as “Registered” then unfortunately your scores aren’t in the first batch to be released. Just keep checking back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! Good luck!

My first time taking it and I’m a junior, so happy with the score!! but I may retake to try for a 34

English: 35 (expected 32-34)
Math: 30 ( expected 32+)
Reading: 32 (expected 29-30)
SCIENCE: 35 (XD expected 29-30)

Composite: 33 ( 99th percentile!!)

Really upset that math is so low…it’s usually my highest but English and science made up for it!

@peytonmg thank you! I was refreshing my page every five mins. I feel stupid for wasting that time now. XD I guess I just have to be patient :/

@gamink348 It’s alright, it’ll come eventually. I bet you did great! If you’re really impatient you can always try http://www.earlyactscore.com but I don’t know if it works for “Registered” listings.

@gamink348 I am in the same boat as you, bud. I am also listed as “Registered.”

34 comp
35 english
34 math
33 reading
35 science
10 essay
About expected. Math I knew I missed at least 3 or so so a 34 was a nice surprise. Should I retake? I was only 1 point away from a 35 and I feel like I can do better. I’m taking March SAT shooting for 2350.

I took October and got a 29 with minimal studying and a 32 on this one! Aiming for a 34 by June. My scores weren’t up at 6 am, but when I checked at 10 am they were up so if your scores aren’t up just keep checking throughout the day!

32 Comp

33 English
33 Math (super shocked by this because i got a 28 in October)
31 Reading
29 Science (ouch harsh curve?)

@ProvocativePanda you definitely should if you were that close!

Got a six on my writing. How bad is that?

I got an eight on my writing and feel that it was extremely unfair, given the examples that ACT posts on their websites so I think the grading is really unreliable and a six doesn’t mean much.

D got a 9 so I guess one reader gave her a 5 and the other a 4…whatever, it doesn’t affect the composite score.

English: 31
Math: 36
Reading: 31
Science: 31
Composite: 32

Essay - 6 (I did not do well; NOT sure how this will impact during college selection process)

How many questions do you think I could have got wrong in Science? I was scoring consistent in practice tests (34 to 36). I know I got 2 Q’s wrong. But I feel I did better than 31 score.

Should I ask “Hand-scoring service” for Science paper? Is it worth it? Please share your experience.

How do you get writing scores early? What URL do you paste into the early checker? @goblazers

Not required to use the early score checker. After the login to ACT, click the “Score Report” you will see the score including writing score in PDF format.

Composite: 35
English: 35
Math: 36
Reading: 35
Science: 35
Writing: 12

First time I ever took this, SO SO glad I’m done with this test. ACT and collegeboard can go bother other people now :D

I got an 8 on my essay and I am honestly not very thrilled about it. I felt really confident with the essay and I thought it was 10x better than my SAT. I received a 34 composite score and when I took the SAT I received a 10 on the essay portion.

Also, did anyone else get comments on theirs? These were mine: “Your essay acknowledged counterarguments on the issue but did not discuss them. Your essay maintained focus on the specific issue in the prompt.”

From all the examples I read, people would say “although some would say blah blah blah, … here is the rebuttal.” That is pretty much what I did for each supporting point, but did anyone else do counterarguments a different way? Did they want me to spend a whole paragraph on that topic?

Those comments are the exact same comments that were on my daughter’s. The essay grading is such a scam.

Weird, I got higher scores on the ACT essays than I did on the SAT’s.

Interesting on the essay comments. D got a 9 with: “Your essay showed recognition of the complexity of the issue by partially evaluating its implications. General statements in your essay were well supported with specific reasons, examples, and details.”
