For the test overall:
English painfully easy. Even easier than December's. 35-36.

Reading okay. It looks like I missed 1/2, so 34-35.

Math harder than my practice tests, but okay. I still had use an educated guess on a couple, but at least I finished the test (and I knew the law of sines/cosines one!). 28-31

Science still hard for me (got a 20 last time), but I finished lol. Maybe 27-30 (30 if I'm lucky).

So my range: 31-33. All three are in HYP's happy range usually, although a 31-32 would be a bit touchy. If I can get a 33 I'll be thrilled :)

how do they find your composite score? average them? (i've never taken the act before)

i think i missed 1-2 in each section so hopefully i got above 30 in each but i think if i got below 30 in anything it'll be science or math since i probably made careless mistakes when i was rushing.

probably the same range as you but i'm pretty sure above 30....i hope!

English: 36 (finished with ten minutes to spare, very confident in all answers)
Math: 30 (crossing my fingers; I missed 8-10 but I'm hoping the curve is very generous)
Reading: 35 (I thought 36 at first, but I may have gotten one wrong)
Science: 30 (again a bit optimistic--I think I missed like 7, so I need a good curve)

Composite: 33

If the curves aren't as generous as I'm hoping, then:

^^Awkturtle, yes they average the score in each category to get your composite. If you only missed 1-2 per section, you'd have a 34-35 composite and I'd be incredibly jealous :(

You might even get a 36 composite if you missed 1-2 in each section, because sometimes you can miss 1 in a section and still get a 36, and if you get two 36s and two 35s your composite is 35.5 which gets rounded up.

English: 30-31 (couple I struggled on but mainly confident throughout)
Math: 32-33 (Got maybe like 5 wrong near the end)
Reading: 28-29 (first 3 passages were a breeze, lost time near end and guessed on last 4)
Science: 25-26 (last 2-3 passages killed me, guessed on most of the last 10 questions)
Writing: 8-9 (what i usually get, I did nothing special but thought it was well written enough for this range)

Composite: 29-30 (I want a 30 so bad to get into UIUC, it looks so much better than a 29)

oh really? scoreeee. :P
but i'm mostly applying to east coast schools who don't really care except for scholarships. go figure.
by my practice test i took though i got composite 32 and i thought the test was about the same level as the test test. but i guess we don't know how curving works. :D

English: Pretty sure a 35 or 36 (got a 34 in Dec)
Math: Hoping for a 30-31. I finished and only guessed on a few (got a 26 last time because I didn't pace myself and guessed on about 9)
Reading: It was about the same for me, if not a little tougher. Probably a 32 (same as last time)
Science: I think I did good, except for the index-expanding questions I messed up on. AND I finished! Hopefully a 30-31 (Got a 28 on the terrible December science section, guessed on the whole last section)

Composite: I'd say about 32, compared to my 30 from December. If I did as well as I think I did.

You'll get a 32 easily. -3 on English is probably 33; -4 on math is probably 33 or 34; -4 on reading is probably 32; -8 on science is probably 31.

for ivy league i think at least a 31 is good enough. they wont write you off if you have a lower ACT score because they reject people with perfect scores all the time.

actually i dont really know what im saying, but i think that's how it is.
