february?

do any colleges take the Feb test or would it be pointless to take the ACT then? I have a decent score, but one section is significantly lower than the others (i have 2 36s, one 31, and a 25 - science) so i wanted to retake it, however, I was sick for the December test and decided not to go at the last minute. it kinda sucks, 'cause i studied for it and everything and think i could do better on science. but then again, i'm pretty happy about a 32 composite so its not a huge deal, but just wondering.

also- is the science score as important as the other scores, given that the SAT doesn't even test science? i'm planning to study the humanities, though i actually have a glowing rec from a science teacher as one of my two academic recs. so do you think the 25 will really hurt me?

It would probably too late for most colleges though you should check with your college to fine out for sure. If your composite score is within the ranges for your college I don't think it will matter that the science subscore is lower. The only reason I could see to retake it is if a higher score would make you eligible for some scholarship $$$

almost all of the schools i'm applying to, and all my top choices, only offer need-based aid so that's not a consideration.. at least in terms of the school's scholarships, i guess it could help for outside ones

i think your composite score is fine (i wish i had that score!)

harvard takes it

i'm not applying to harvard ahah. but are there any other schools? or like if schools get it before they deliberate might they still ook at it ? anyone?

I think most schools take scores after the application deadline, but you really have to check with each school to be sure and get the date. Just call the admissions office.

I think the four subject test scores are equally important, because mainly it is your composite that matters. With a 32 composite, I don't think one low subject score will look that bad no matter which test it is.
