Federal Gov internship for i-banking??

If it came down to choosing between Merrill Lynch-Private Wealth Management (regional office in hometown that's a big city) or the Bureau of Labor Statistics (DC) for a summer internship, which one would increase my likelihood of securing an actual i-banking internship the following summer??

This is a different topic, but what about for law school..which one would stand out more on an application?

I’m going to take this moment to appreciate the idea of someone named “JoeThePlumber” looking for the internship which will help him get an I-Banking job.

Depends on what each internship is offering you and if you think you’d be able to get experiences which mean something to you. This is not only because meaningful experiences are good for personal growth, but they also make good application fodder.

ML- PWM for Ibanking.

Law school would depend more upon the standard of work you do at each, and what each would lead to in future years.

Take PWM. Law school is all LSAT and GPA. Internships won’t matter.

Would it matter if one of them was offering college credit instead of paying??
