<p>Deferring the payment means that you don’t have to pay it until you start school. It basically “puts the payment off” for now. As for the financial aid, you have to accept the aid that was given to you. If you don’t know where to see your financial aid, go to your MyUCR account, click on the icon that says GROWL. scroll down until you see a note saying “When you are ready to go to the real GROWL menu click here.” click that link then on the left side it says under Financial aid, Award Status. There are also things you will have to fill out saying you accept this award for certain awards like the cal-grant etc. It’s pretty much self-explanitory, just make sure you accept them before the given date or else you won’t get them. Also, you can’t use your financial aid until you start school. Hope that was helpful…</p>
