I recently got admitted into UCSD and I was wondering if my SIR deposit could be waived since I am low income. My EFC was determined to be 0 and I read on their website that if I received a fee waiver (I’m assuming for the application fee), I could waive my deposit, but I don’t know how to do so. Please help!
Well my EFC was 012, but got changed to 000 when I updated my tax deposit.
I simply went to SIR and it accepted my SIR.
It didn’t ask for payment at all, and I put in my housing application.
I think it does it automatically.
I think your SIR is deducted from your fall quarter tuition, so it might be covered by your financial aid then. I’d call the FAO to confirm, they’re happy to help.
