Fee waiver for deposit with decision of accept?

Anybody else getting this email and does this mean that I will get a good fin aid package? I don't want to get my hopes up so someone set me straight!

i got it too. i guess we get good financial aid. anyway uva covers 100% of financial need

100% has already varied by two schools I was accepted to by $25,000.00! So I am curious for UVa, my first choice.

yeah i got it too. hopefully its a good sign…

I believe the email spells things out clearly. Does it not mention that you qualify for a Pell Grant?

Thanks Dean J, no it doesn’t say much and no reference to the Pell grant. Whatever I get I am so thrilled to be acceted - hope I can make it work. Hey, aren’t you taking a couple days off Dean J? And, thanks for being part of cc - you answered many of my questions throughout this process.

Ah, my apologies. Your aid packages should start to show up in student self-service tomorrow morning. I think our Outreach office sent the deposit emails to put you at ease over the deposit.

Since the advent of the Blackberry and the iPhone, the day off has become an endangered species. I guess this is a word to the wise: take a break from online communication every now and then. Goodness knows that when you get out into the real world, it will be a little harder than it is now.

Good luck tomorrow…I hope your aid packages help you get one step closer to a decision about UVa!

I accepted my decision; any idea when the waiver will process?

Dean J, any advice for an international student? How can i get any kind of fin. aid?

Aid for internationals is addressed on our website. Non-US citizens aren’t eligible for federal student aid. If you go to a UWC, there is some aid available.
