<p>The counselor has to order the fee waiver cards from the College Board. A high school’s first-time order takes a few weeks to arrive, or at least it did in our case. After that, the College Board will send a new batch of cards to the school every summer. The cards are specific to a particular academic year.</p>
<p>If this is too slow to help your cousin, the counselor could try calling another local high school to see if they have an extra card your cousin could use. The cards are not specific to particular high schools, so they can be shared.</p>
