Im applying to 7 colleges early action and decision. 3 are covered by questbridge but 4 aren't. My counselor put on her recommendation that I am eligible for free lunch and used sat waivers. Should I worry and send my collegeboard fee waivers? I don't understand the request fee waiver thing on Common App. Am I supposed to still send my fee waivers to them or will they waive my fees? I'm trying to save them for RD.

Why are you trying to save them?
Perhaps you will be accepted to one of the EA or ED schools ( which I assume are your preferred choices) and you won’t need them.

Alright so do I have to send the fee waivers? And plus I didn’t get any from my counselor.

Yeah I match the first 3. Does it mean that I’ll get fee waivers without sending them?

here is some more info

Okay well I still don’t get if I need to send the ones I have. The college websites all tell me to request a fee waiver on Common App.

Well can you try that? Do like the link suggests and request a waiver on the profile screen of the common app fee waiver section?

Well I did select request fee waivers for all the colleges I’m applying to (I already have 3 for QB for EA/ED), but I’m not sure how I’ll get them.

I know my counselor signed something on Common App (checklist) that stated that I am eligible for fee waivers.

here is some more info on how fee waivers work for common app. Sounds like it works without an actual waiver by answering questions on common app.

So you should be able to apply to the questbridge schools, then apply to the common app schools for free and for rd use your collegeboard fee waivers that you access through your sat account.

It says: “If you have received (or are eligible to receive) an SAT fee waiver, you may apply to any Common App college without a fee.”

Yay that means I’m set

Unrelated issue…but it’s a bad thing to list the illnesses my dad and my mom has in the add. info right? lol. Seems like begging for sympathy. I didn’t include it.
