I noticed the option for a fee waiver on Pton's application.

I was just curious that if one was to use this option, would it help, hurt, or have no impact on the admissions?

need blind, technically.

if you qualify for a fee waver, you MIGHT even be part of the (hopefully) emerging SOCIOECONOMIC AFFIRMATIVE ACTION (!!!!!!!!)

It seems like colleges are looking for poor but bright students a lot more carefully nowadays.

I'm socially disadvanteous, but I just paid the fee. The colleges may or may not wave your fee. But if you have a Guidance Counselor who knows you and your story it can seriously help. Unfortunetly in my case going to a very large school 2000+ my Guidance Counselor, along with all the others, barely know us. They'll still see I'm an economic unrepresented when they look at my father's income tax form. But, overall I would say it wouldn't hurt you to request a fee waiver.

It won't hurt you a bit. :)
