Does anybody know if there are any fee waivers that transfer students can use when applying through common app. I know when I was in high school I was able to waive the app fee by using a college board fee waiver that I got from taking the SAT, but now that I am in college I don't know what options are available. So if anybody can answer this, it would be really helpul to me. Thanks.

does anybody have an answer to this question…

Most colleges unfortunetly from what I’ve seen just go by the college board fee waiver, which as I’m sure you’ve noticed isn’t intended for transfer students.

The one exception I’ve noticed so far is Amherst, which is very generous with it’s fee waivers. See Quick Pass Application Fee Waiver;

There was also a thread on here somewhere with a long list of colleges that have no admission fees… I have it bookmarked on my home computer, but I’m on campus on my laptop at the moment and can’t seem to find it, I’ll edit my post if I stumble across it again or when I get home.

Edit: and found it again :http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/444532-list-colleges-free-apply.html
As is mentioned in that thread, don’t let a lack of an application fee be your only or main reason for applying to a school… but it may be a good resource if you’re paranoid like me and wanna have a couple extra ‘safe’ schools to apply to just in case.

Thank you :)

Most schools seem happy w/a letter signed by an adviser or someone from the fin. aid office stating transfer application fees would pose a hardship on you. I got one drafted up and schools I’m applying to seem content w/that
