I submitted the NACAC signed fee waivers (DL-ed from C.A.) to the colleges before I submitting the applications. I mailed them off on the 22nd so they should be there by now. We made sure to attach a letter with the fee waivers as well. Is this (as in submitting the fee waivers before formally requesting one) ok?

I'm really worried. If not, should I just pay with a credit card just in case? Will the colleges refund my application fees if they do receive my fee waivers later?

If the colleges use common app, you can make sure they know there’re fee waiver requests coming by checking “fee waiver” under the payment option. I sent in most of my NACAC fee waiver requests before the actual application themselves, and so far, there hasn’t been a problem. It should be fine. I would wait until the application deadline to see if they’ve received it… you can still pay by credit card then if there is any problem.
