What are we supposed to do if we have taken the AP English Lit/Language exam this year as seniors and will not know if we got a five or not until the end of July? I know we can pay $8 to find out our scores on July 1st, but is that the only option for us if we want to get out of the FEE?

Do the FEE anyway.

Yeah, having a 5 on AP Eng Lit/Language is the only way. As amrik said, take the FEE anyway, and take the June FEE if you want your results in time to enter the HASS-D Lottery.

So I realize I am an upperclassman and not '09. I'll stay out of your forum from now on :)

If you have a great feeling about the AP test, and you're reasonably sure that you got a 5... screw the FEE. You can always take it on paper during orientation.

Of course, if you're not totally confident, you should probably take it anyway... it's a gamble, but if you really feel like you did well, don't waste your time on the FEE.

(Spoken as someone who didn't take the FEE because she was pretty sure she had gotten a 5 on AP Lit... and she did get a 5, so everyone was happy.)
