<p>Deadlines are coming up, and I'd love to have someone read through a draft of my common app essay. It's answering prompt #1 about a "story central to your identity." It's about coming from a conservative family and being caught in a gay relationship and how that has affected me. Right now I'm afraid it might come off as too cliche or predictable. I also fear I do too much telling rather than showing, although from what I've read it's important you address why the event is important to you, so perhaps it's alright, I'm not sure. </p>
<p>Anyway long story short I'd love some outside opinions and suggestions before submitting. Let me know if you're interested, I'd be very grateful for even the smallest help. :) </p>
