feedback on feedback

off and on for about a month I have been reading essays on this site. I think it's really fun to see what people come up with, and I'm glad to help you all out.
I have a feeling I'm becoming a better writer myself.

but I have no idea how my feedback compares to others since I never had my own essay critiqued.

so I was hoping that people who have had their essays looked at by any posters here could say what they like and don't like in feedback. what was really useful? you don't need to name names, but just talk about the different sorts of ways your essay was evaluated. I hope it will lead to better feedback in the future from me and others.

I've seen other "let's collaborate" threads crash and burn here so I won't be surprised if this one does as well. also, I didn't search for old versions of this topic because I want to know how it's been going for the people lately-- forums can change that fast.

thanks for reading, and even more thanks if you respond back!

yes yes, I am not surprised.
