I’m starting to homeschool this year (I’m in my second year of high school, planning to graduate at the end of my third year) and one of my main concerns is getting feedback on my writing. I am an excellent writer, and all of the English teachers I have had commented on my writing skills frequently. My parents have expressed their concern at the lack of outside feedback I will receive on my writing by homeschooling.
Does anyone have any suggestions for getting feedback from outside sources on writing and papers?
Thank you!
I would suggest going to your local college/university and asking if one of the English professors would mind looking over your writing. If not, I’m sure there are online forums to look over and comment on students’ writing skills. Best of luck!
Check out BraveWriter online classes at the high school level. They do cost money. But honesty, if you want expert feedback, you’re going to need to pay for it one way or another.
Just curious why you are graduating after only three years of high school.
Re. writing: lots of good online literature/writing courses such as PA Homeschoolers, The Potter’s School, Online G3, Write Guide, San Diego Scribblers, and so forth; what about taking a community college course? Or hiring a tutor just to assess your writing?
