Hi all,

Our S is very interested in SC; we visited in February and were quite impressed. He is leaning toward an International Business major. Would anyone be nice enough to share their GPA/SAT/ACT info -- particularly those who have been accepted into the Honors College (Capstone)? We would truly appreciate it. Also, any current students who have anything to share about their experience(s) on campus. Our S is a decent student (A-) with honors/AP classes, an all-state violist in NY, varsity baseball and volleyball; basically, pretty well-rounded. Might be interested in a fraternity. Any info that parents or students can provide will be appreciated! Thanks in advance.

P.S. Hopefully the fact that S's uncle (my brother) is a Clemson grad won't count against him! :)

S hasnt started yet but contact me in the fall and I'll be glad to give you feedback and put your S in touch with mine. He sounds like the kind of kid they will love, esp if he intends to continue the music...S was admitted to Honors and then bumped up to McNair Scholar at the last minute..make sure your S fills out the seperate app for McNair just in case.S might add an International Business minor to his Sport Mgmt major and he met lots of honors kids who are doing international business. Dont forget that USC makes an out of state kid eligible for instate tuition rates if they award them any scholarship above $500..a really sweet deal. There also seem to be many departmental scholarships they award (dont know about the business school) but they dont award them until after you accept and send your enrollment deposit. It comes as a nice extra surprise.I will tell you S just went to Orientation/Registration and the Honors advising was outstanding.
