Feedback requist for my thesis project.

I’m originally from Taiwan. I have good memories of camping with my family in Taiwan. Coming to the US, I have had a much different camping experience. It is really eye opening every time I go. Being outdoors makes me so happy. As a result, I decided to center my thesis topic around camping.

I’m currently in the Design phase of my thesis. I am designing a product called MobileKit. The direction is to design an outdoor cooking set to help inexperienced (aged 18-24) campers to save time and effort when cooking outdoors. The product would be designed to accommodate 2-4 people. There are tons of competitor products, but I believe in the end I will come out with something unique which will stand out in the market. It still needs some tweaking and a lot of work. I have 7 months to complete my thesis project, graduating in spring 2015.

I’m looking for feedback from my target users (aged 18-24) to improve the outdoor cooking set ( MobileKit). I’d like to share with you my initial concept in a video on youtube:

After viewing the video, please let me know what do you think?

Best,

You need to add some hooks to hold the spatulas and utensils. Like put them on the lid. Make sides to cover the burners so that wind doesnt blow them out. Make a pull out drawer on the side so you can have stuff on the top and still open it instead of lifting the top. Make a trashbag holder in the bottom where the legs are. Put a flashlight in the top. It needs a beverage holder. Make it have pot heater burners but also make it so it can be a grill. It would be cool if you made it with a chain so you can wrap the chain around a tree and hang it from a tree instead of having legs. Or make the legs clip together to make a hiking stick or a fishing rod.

OMG! You have so many great ideas! Thanks for the feedback. I made some changes of my product. It is simpler and more compact. I’d love to share my progress later. Thanks again!
