I'm not the best student, but I cannot accept the "1" College Board insists I got for the APBio Exam.

I took many practice tests and scored really well on the multiple choice section, using Cliffs, PR and Barron's. Admittedly, my free response section was lacking, but a 1!!! I was hoping for a 5 but expected a 4.
I'm not fooling myself - I'm pretty good at predicting my scores for all the tests I take.

I've asked for a rescore and already received the letter saying that the score "as previously reported, is accurate."

Okay, so do I just move on and try again next May (after my cathartic rant on CC) or is there anything else I can do?

U could cancel the score and put it behind u. In a year’s time u will have forgotten the info and it would be really hard to study for the test. IMO, it just wouldn’t be worth it, especially if ur going to be a senior next year and are already admitted into college by that time.

The same thing will probably happen to me when I get my Calc rescore back. Exact situation… I wish I could help you cause I feel your pain, but that doesn’t necessarily make it better.

You’re sort of scaring me with this…I’m taking AP Bio next year. And sending a letter to the College Board is as useless as sending a letter to your local congressman. It’s a bureaucracy, take it next year. You must have screwed something up, like maybe messed up your bubbling, numbered your FRQs wrong, etc. Things happen the best you can do is suck it up and take it again.

Don’t sweat too much. It’s just one test, so it won’t make or break your college app. If you really can’t stand it, you can always retake next year.

The test could have just been a difficult one; you should trust the CB’s grading and accept the fact that you bombed this one test that just happened to be the real deal. I highly advise against taking the exam again. I wouldn’t retake any AP exam, both for monetary and logical reasons.
