Today I got my acceptance for Scranton University and it is one of the best feelings of my life. I already got accepted to 3 other schools but Scranton was a school that was reach/target school. I am waiting more from other schools and my top choice schools but being accepted Scranton is a very relieving experience for me. What is also surprising, is that I got a $10,0000 scholarship. I thought I wouldn’t qualify for a scholarship because I have a 3.1 GPA and a SAT score around 1600-1700. I would definitely consider Scranton but can anyone tell me how the school is like in terms of campus, people, activities, and all that stuff? I did also go there 2 times but that was years ago when my sister was applying to colleges.
The campus is among the nicest I have seen. Great academic facilities, housing and food. Lots of school spirit.
Congratulations for your acceptance and the scholarship. You should feel very proud of yourself.
Scranton has a 90% first year retention rate and a 74%, 4 year graduation rate. These are both very good indicators.
Congratulations! It’s great to have your work rewarded. Best wishes in all your endeavors.
Congrats on your acceptance and scholarship. We looked at Scranton with my S and although he went somewhere else in the end, we liked the school very much. Maybe you can re-visit it again for accepted students day or something.
Thanks yeah our family plans to visit again in February.
Scranton is beautiful. I got accepted too! Congratulations!!
Seems like a school that cares about its students. The faculty seem productive but not driven just by need to publish or get funding. Because the faculty do seem productive, students can get credentials to help them move on to graduate training or professional schools.
Congrats!
