Hi....I know that this question has been asked in the past over a million times, but do I have good EC's at all? I'm going to be a senior next year, and I'm looking at UF and FSU.

Reclycling Club: (9-11)
Mu Alpha Theta: (9-11)
Key Club: (10-11)
Big Brothers Big Sisters: (11)
Science NHS: (11)
NHS: (11)
Rho Kappa: (11)
Track: (11)

I was Junior Representative for Key Club in my junior year. Next year, I will be the Key Club Secretary, as well as the Secretary for Rho Kappa.

Does this look like I'm stacking on too many EC's?

At FSU, the ECs are only “Considered”. You can find this info for many schools at the College Board website. [College Search - Florida State University - FSU - Admission](<a href=“College Search - BigFuture | College Board”>College Search - BigFuture | College Board)

OK…and that’s the same for UF. But that still doesn’t answer my question. Do I look like I’m adding on too many EC’s?

What are your test scores and grades? If those two items are good, the ECs won’t matter.

I estimate I have a 4.6 UF GPA weighted, 4.0 unweighted. I also have a 2060 on my SAT (630 CR, 780 Math, 650 writing) and I’ll be retaking it in October.

Are you from Florida? If so, I’d say you will get in. Even from out-of-state, your odds are very good. ECs shouldn’t end up mattering *.

The exception is that some scholarships may be based on leadership, etc.

Yep, I’m a native. Thanks! I’m a bit more confident now.

Apply nice and early so that you can still apply elsewhere if things fall through. I think you will be fine.

Apply for Florida State in August.
