Feels like I got rejected already from UCs

It’s strange how I STILL haven’t heard from UCSB or UCLA about receiving my application. Secondly, I haven’t gotten any calls or emails from UCLA or UCB about applying for their alumni scholarships.

I know it’s too early to assume anything, but it just feels like I didn’t get in already. :frowning:

May be a good idea to pick up the phone and call them to inquire if they have indeed received your applications - and also to ask about the scholarship info - wouldn't hurt to make sure.

i know you can check and make sure UCSB got your app online...here is the site...

<a href="http://www.admissions.ucsb.edu/applicant/index.asp?context=applicant_freshmen%5B/url%5D">http://www.admissions.ucsb.edu/applicant/index.asp?context=applicant_freshmen</a></p>

Dont worry about it. I didnt get anything from them last year, but got accepted to both.

I didn't apply to UCSB last year so I wouldn't be able to give you any information. UCLA will not send you a confirmation, and they invite you to apply for the alumni scholarship if you provided a legit email address on the UC application. You don't need an invitation to apply, you can find the application online (the link is at several different posts in the UCLA forum).

i didnt get a confirmation from ucla last year, and i didnt get any calls from ucla nor berkeley about scholarships. i took the initiative to apply for the alumni scholarships on my own.

end result? i got into both ucla and berkeley, and eventually won an alumni scholarship with ucla, which is where i go now (i turned down berkeley before i found out my final result for their alumni scholarship).

so purplerain, try not to worry. trust yourself. apply for the alumni scholarships anyway, in the event that you DO get in.
