Fees just became too expensive

I always thought, that is it MUCH harder to get in a UC university as a transfer student compared to as freshman student ?

Since I dont really know yet , which Major I should choose, wouldnt be CC another oppurtinity too ? Since I do not have to choose a major there.

I don’t think a CC is a good idea for an int’l student unless that’s the only affordable option. CCs in Calif aren’t THAT cheap for int’ls, and they are mostly commuter schools…that can be an issue for a student who isn’t from the area…you could get quite lonely.

Fendrix, I think you’re buying into a lot of myths. I don’t think many of the schools you’re considering will provide the best time of your life. You already have schools that are largely commuter schools where kids just show up for classes and there is not a full campus life. Community colleges are often full of older students making career transitions.

If you’re envisioning Animal House (supposedly Dartmouth) or similar, most of your schools don’t fit the bill. Have you visited?

I only visited the website of each universitsy and tried to gather as much information as possible about the campus etc, but of course you cannot find out how lively campus life will be. A flight from Germany to CA, or even Australia to CA ( thats where I am right now ) is pretty expensive, and I did not think that it would make a big difference.
