There are times when I hate living in Germany…and this definitely is one of them. Do they send emails too or just regular mails? Because I would have to wait for my mom to get home, open it, and call me while I’m on tour somewhere in Europe, and I have NO clue how much its gonna cost me.

unfortunately, they will only send it through mail. although, you can buy a cheap phonecard while somewhere in EU to call Vanderbilt. They should be able to tell you the decision early next week through phone.

They don’t email decisions?

nope. they dont email… i know it sucks… we oughta wait

I wonder why Vanderbilt elects not to email decisions. Regardless, I’m glad to see they will be mailed out soon!

Although generally decisions are sent by mail, international applicants might get theirs earlier either by email or earlier sent date. I know that for Early Decision this happened. It might be different for regular decision though.

Ah, yes, I just saw on the Vanderbilt website that international applicants will be notified of their decision by email (and will still receive an official letter in the mail). This was a comment left by a forum user, mind you, and not a Vandy admissions official, but it sounds like international applicants won’t have to wait for the snail mail.

Hello all,

Thom from Vanderbilt Admissions here. International students (or perhaps more accurately, students living abroad) will receive their decision notifications on Monday March 29th via email.

Btw - that comment post on the blog was from me. FYI. :)

Hi Thom, will the decision letters also include a financial aid package?

^
it will…

Ahh, I wonder if there’s any chance of me getting the letter on Saturday in North Carolina. Now that I know my decision is floating around a mail center somewhere it’s going to kill me to wait until Monday!

there is a slight chance that you might get it on sat in NC… although, dont really expect it on saturday…
