Fellow Brunonians!

Congrats to all those accepted!
Brownie17, I love how that's the first thing on your mind. Way to go!
Class of 10, I hope you all have partying as your number 1 priority like Brownie17.
Hope to see you all at SexPowerGod next year =)

How are dorms and housing arrangements worked out?

All freshmen live in doubles determined by a 6 or 7 question form. You have absolutely no control over where/with whom you live. It usually works out.

Is anyone else undecided for their concentration? I have no idea what I want to do, but I was looking through the course calendar/bulletin thing, and some stuff looks cool. Anyone know anything about Cognitive Science at Brown?

P.S. I have figured out the solution to the "class of '10" problem: Close your eyes......................................"Class X".

Yes, it's brilliant I know.

woohoo so excited for sexpowergod.. amazing

So I got my acceptance letter in the mail today! It's so awesome to finally see it in person haha. And Brown sent all of the ED acceptees a decal for our cars - this is awesome!

lol i know. i dont have a car though.....
is anyone putting anything on the remarks place for the response card?

I just wrote thank you to the admission committee.

I ordered four decals and now I see I get a free one. What a way to loose $1.09! I'm already starting off on a bad foot with Brown...

Haha, I wrote how grateful and excited I was to be accepted and I thanked the admissions committee lol.

Why, I think I'll add some geographical diversity here since I'm from Fargo, North Dakota. The Texan and I seem to be the only ones not from the New England area. Just think, only a semester left of highschool. How sweet is that?

O! Also, SexPowerGod TOTALLY going to be there.

pretty sad question but can u get the acceptance withdrawn... if u dont put the right comment in the response card (T_T still cant believe i got in and nervous about getting kicked out even though i know that question was lame and paranoic _

semblare
I worried about the same thing.. haha

I just left it blank. I thought it was for special circumstances or whatever.

Looking forward to August!

I'm also from TX, Zrfen1. I was looking at the geographical admissions thingy and it's like 100 something total from TX in the class of 06-09.

hey, congrats!! my friend got accepted ED and was wondering if he can get a facebook somehow.. do yall know how to activate the brown email?

The woman who interviewed me just called to congratulate me. I managed to get some statistics out of her:

2,538 ED applicants
583 accepted (23%)
20 accepted for PLME (yay me)

She also says that in April Brown hosts A Day on College Hill, when soon-to-be matriculating students can spend a day at Brown and have a great time. The Brown Train, which is collectively reserved Amtrak cars, picks up students for free. At some point during the ride, President Ruth Simmons gets on. Exciting

For people in the Philadelphia area, there is a party in August for all the marticulating students.

Wow, 23% for Early Decision? That's way lower than I thought it'd be. Wasn't it like 28% last year? I feel so special to have been accepted lol.

I can't wait till ADOCH in April! Maybe all of us CCers can meet up or something.

That would be fun. Really, AIM IM me sometime.

Aw! you can all have fun doing the ADOCH... I'll be stuck in ND.... SO far away.....
