Hello, I am a prospective student and wanted to ask what the atmosphere is like among engineering students?
Do you think you are able to creatively let loose and participate in a lot of clubs and activities that involve engineering?
I am very passionate about engineering and thats what I basically want to do day in and day out, apart from attending an occasional party/social event. For me in order to get a complete college experience I want to participate in robotics clubs and learn as much as I can, get the internships I want (What is internship availability like?) Are there other students as passionate as I am?
In short, What are the internship possibilites like at MSU?
How are the engineering clubs/robotics clubs at MSU?
Do you like the student atmosphere? Is the library nice to study in?
I also like going to the gym, is the university gym good? Or too crowded?
Thank you so much!
Nick
NTerr,
My d is a pre-med freshman at MSU. We did some research on reddit to find more info than what is posted here.
I did a quick google search and found this on engineering- https://www.reddit.com/r/msu/comments/3a7isd/questions_for_engineering_students_of_msu/
general info-

and I have read a lot of reviews similar to this- “BEST PLACE ON EARTH I LOVE IT SO MUCH I DON’T WANT TO LEAVE”.
My d loves it at MSU and is looking for summer research job so she can stay on campus.
The main thing I recall about the MSU engineering program is it is more collaborative in approach in emphasizing teamwork skills because most engineers work on projects together. Employers want people who can be team players.
