Just received a phone call from a UA Fellow student. He highly encourage me to apply for the experience, is this a common practice? I told him that I only received the letter of acceptance yesterday and don’t have much time to write the essay. He mentioned that if you submit your honors application before the deadline, the Fellow Exp. application can be a little, is that true?

are you asking if the Fellows app can be a little late?

I spoke with UFE office on Monday, and the lady said that some students (depending on when they are accepted and if they receive UFE info close to the deadline) will be allowed to turn their apps in late. But, since today is the 19th, I don’t know how that would work.

You should submit the UHP app and email Mrs. Wellon Bridgers wellonlbridgers@ua.edu and tell her your situation, your interest in UFE, and your stats. She’ll likely email the application info to you so you can begin the essays (there are 2). Then you’ll receive a UFE package in the mail.

Mrs. Bridgers would be able to tell you if, at this point, you could submit a late app (after Dec 4).

Thanks Mom for the swift answers and suggestions.
