Would it be unusual if my son only wanted to apply to one Fellows program (Leadership) and not any within his school? Would that look bad or unmotivated on his part?
I don’t think it makes him look unmotivated , instead it shows and interest in leadership. My son was a Leadership fellow and really loved the program. (graduated now) Good luck to your son.
I agree. I don’t think applying to only one Fellows program would seem in any way negative. My son is a current Leadership Fellow who also loves the program.
We have seen two different Fellows application deadlines: Jan. 10th and Jan. 12th?
It is Jan 12 (Monday). I think last year it was January 10th. See link from website. https://www.elon.edu/e-web/admissions/Fellows/
I just applied for the honors and fellows scholarships online. However, when I submit my essays there is no preview or link, so I am not sure how one can open and read the document (PDF). Have any of you had this issue? Thanks
My son just tried to submit his Fellows application (yes, I know, bad idea doing it the last day…) and it appears their server has crashed. Hangs up infinitely when you go to submit and now we can’t get back in. Anyone else having a problem?
My D has been having problems too, but she is in now. But the activities form she filled out last week did not save, so she has to recreate it. She’s not too happy about that!
Yeah, we eventually got it to work, must’ve been a surge of applicants at once!
Cameron, did your S get any kind of confirmation? We did not, at least when she hit submit at 11 pm. Don’t know what’s showing today.
@Embracethemess nothing yet. However, if you go back into the ontrack, you can see that the application is there, and no longer editable. I would take that to mean it’s in the system. Good luck!
She actually reached out to her admissions rep today, who confirmed that they do have it.
Just received an email stating Fellows invites will be made on Feb. 1st and to check your emails then.
Does anyone have an example of an essay prompt from past fellows competitions?
