Females applying to Engineering

Hey everyone,

So I know Northwestern isn't really a school for engineering, but I heard most engineering schools tend to have a higher acceptance rate for females. Anyone know if this is true for Northwestern as well? And if it is, anyone know exactly what it is? Thanks!

You know Northwestern isn’t a school for engineering, eh?

Arbiter213 - LOL LOL!!! Exactly!

Northwestern is actually an amazing engineering school is what they’re trying to say! ;D
I’m a female applying for engineering as well and while yes, I would like to think the acceptance rate for females into engineering is higher I don’t know of any statistics that back it up presently and if such a statistical difference exists, at such a selective level I doubt it will be the deciding factor in anyone one persons application.

Haha, Arbiter213, I know NU is great for engineering, which is why I’m applying there but I just meant to say that the first thing that comes to my mind when I think Northwestern is journalism and communications!
