Lol yesterday was my orientation/sneak peek/w.e you wanna call it, and I signed up for a bunch of new clubs (and old ones, of course). But perhaps the most interesting one I took up was fencing...does anyone do it? I'm starting pretty late so I don't know if I'm any good or nah...

I also do Tae Kwon Do as my other sport. Do you think I can do two sports + ECs + keep a good GPA during my sophomore year? I’m taking a pretty heavy course load and I got 3 difficult teachers, 2 relatively lenient teachers, and 1 new teacher, who I can’t really judge yet, but he seems okay, and it’s in math, which I’m fairly good at.

huh, I thought you were older for some reason. I think you’ll be fine, junior year might get a bit heavy with SATs and the like though so plan accordingly.

I am the epitome of a mature adult

I did fencing! I hate pretty much every sort of sport that I’ve ever tried, but I LOVED fencing (had to quit because of financial reasons). It’s like a physical chess match - it’s just as much of a mental sport as it is a physical sport. And there’s so much history that at least I learned in my class. Genuinely a really cool sport with a great community.
