FERPA Question

<p>Just a question of sheer curiosity. If I waive FERPA rights and then one of my LOR writers showed me the recommendation, would this be a violation of those rights? Just curious as to how FERPA relates to institutions vs. individuals. </p>

<p>Any recommender can always volunteer to share their rec with you as the applicant. Your FERPA waiver has nothing whatsoever to do with the relationship between you and your recommenders. It relates to your rights with respect to the schools where your apps are sent.</p>
