The Los Angeles Festival of Books celebrated 20 years last weekend. Bright California sunshine brought out crowds to see authors and enjoy the many interest booths, music and book signings. Welcoming guests to campus were USC President, Dr. Nikias, and the Trojan Marching Band. Some of the many authors present were Billy Idol, Joyce Carol Oates, Malcolm Gladwell, Candice Bergen, La Var Burton, T.C. Boyle and Matthew Reilly. University sponsored booths included a health pavilion and those featuring SC’s community outreach programs.
Included in the weekend festival activities were musical acts, book signings, lectures, face painting, story telling, book sales, food tastings and SC Song Girl performances.
