Few Questions about a thinkpad

Can you upgrade the ram on all the think pads? How easy is it to do… I can handle screws and snapping things in but soldering is not something I’m prepared for.

Upgrading RAM is very easy. All you have to do is remove 4 screws. I did it ~3 weeks ago, and it took less than 10 minutes.

I’ve twice upgraded the RAM on my ThinkPad R61 (1 -> 2 -> 4). You won’t have to solder anything. Back in elementary school, I used to always break everything, so if I can upgrade the RAM, then anybody can.

I’m under the impression that the RAM can be upgraded in the ThinkPad X300, Lenovo’s counterpart to the MacBook Air. If RAM can be user serviced in as thin a laptop as the X300, then it can be done for any ThinkPad.
