1)I am interested in Berkeley Haas, but do I apply there directly during my senior year or I transfer to there during my freshman year from another Berkeley department(and if I need to transfer, what is the internal transfer acceptance rate)
2) When do they start to accept application forms?till when? its before EDs in other private schools eh?

Erm, I'm assuming you're talking about the undergraduate Business Administration degree offered by Haas.

Students apply to Haas during their second semester of sophomore year. There are a number of prerequisite courses that need to be taken prior to application to Haas. Until that point, you remain L&S undeclared in terms of major.

The acceptance rate fluctuates around 50%.

so when does the normal admission season starts( when I am in high school senior year)

you're allowed to submit ur app between november 1-30th
but if i remember right, you can start putting ur application together in october. UCapp=best AP ever!! no recs, no confusion, just fill, cut, paste, check, send, pay.

UCapp=best? you mean all the UC public colleges or you mean applicants from in-state? also i m a out-state student so what will be different to me on admission other than less chance than in-state

no, i mean the university of california's application. there's 10(9 undergrad) campuses in the UC, thats berkeley, UCLA, irvine and so on, the application is the same for all of them you just check a little box on the application that tells them who to send the application to.

I'm not 100% but i think the application is the same for all, maybe a bit different on the international, cause you need tofl and all that. but i'm think its the same for oos.
goodluck

thanks, actually i am from canada so i dont need tofl and balabala, I think i ll be treated like other oos

application fee for internationals is also more expensive ($70)

other than that, there isn't much different...we can't apply for any scholarships either

ps: i'm from canada too

!! phroz3n which part of canada do you come from?

north york, toronto

you?

Montreal Quebec, another question, does Berkeley admission treat us just like other OOS in USA? or it would be harder for us

they treat us the same but they pick fewer of us, if that makes sense to you

i think for 2005 admissions, it was 20% acceptance rate for OOS and 12% for international. the rates are probably going down with each year.

if they treat us the same then does that mean international students have less impressive records?

i think oos is less than 20%, it's 24% or so for EVERYONE, but the bulk of that 24% is in state

Isn't it 11? Did you forget UC Hastings College of Law in San Francisco?

even though many people say international and OOS are treated equally, but why the acceptance rate on statistics are so low

I mean so much lower than OOS

I don't really know if many people say that, but for starters, what does the Berkeley admissions office say?

what do you mean by STARTERS

As in it is a place to begin, to start.
