Few Questions About Late Application

I applied to Swarthmore 4 minutes late. I received an extension in the mail and I still turned in my application late. I also applied to Wellesley 2 minutes late. These are both my top choices.

I know I shouldn't have procrastinated, so don't scold me. I hate myself enough as it is.

Will this seriously jeopardize my chances of admission? I read on other threads that turning an application near the deadline is a bad idea because it appears as if the applicant doesn't really care. Which is completely untrue in my case. I really, really want to go to either Swarthmore or Wellesley.

Do you guys know anyone that got into a competitive college with an almost late/late application?

My applications were downloaded by Swarthmore and Wellesley.
Does this guarantee that my application will be reviewed?

Don’t worry about it. A lot of people submit their applications on the last day. If they’ve already downloaded your applications and received your transcripts/test scores/letters of recommendations you’re in good shape!

I really, really hope so.
I emailed the colleges and I’m waiting for a reply.
I feel like such an idiot.

Do any of you guys know anyone that got into a top college with a late application?
Please help!
