Few Questions

So Im signed up to take math ii, lit, and spanish on nov 1st.

1) What are the best books for each of these tests?
2) Do I really even need to take all of these if Im applying to very tough schools. I already have a 690 in US history and I dont think I can retake that. I also have a 560 in lit which is why im trying to bring the score up.
3) Anything else to add?

Thanks you for all your help

I really like Kaplan's book for the Math Level II test. However, I don't know (and that is a major point) how accurate it models the real test in its practice tests. Anyone?

oh right I forgot about the lit thread. But the math one is new. Thanks meadow.

kernbons- I dont think I herd much bout the kaplan books for math. is it helping?

You know, it isn't exactly loaded with practice questions, which by all means is the key to success in maths. But you get like 4 practice tests, plus chapters divided into some neat sections with 5 questions before and after. As of being the ultimate prep book: No.

But it's great to practice and hone some skills before an actual SAT.

oh of course. You cant be completely blank about a test before one. But I hate taking practice tests so much. So I usully just study, and take one at most usually night before. And I just got a barrons book, and it does sound like a toughie but I hope it helps me to an 800
