It’s going to be my first interview experience ever. I want to make sure that I’m well prepared for it. You can help me out I really have no idea about the whole interview process…Some of my questions may seem pretty stupid…

So… here come my questions:

1 who pays for the drinks? (I’ve never heard anyone mention this…)

2 Is it necessary to give some kind of resume to the inteviwer? If yes, what’s suppoed to be on it?

3 Is there anything else I need to give him?

4 when I get to the place, how am I supposed to recognize the interviewer…? My interview place is probably going to be a coffee shop where tons of people are hanging out…

5 How much does the interviewer know about me prior to the interview? my GPA? SAT scores? EC’s?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance :)

1 who pays for the drinks? (I’ve never heard anyone mention this…)

I’d be prepared to pay for your own drinks. You definitely won’t pay for the interviewer’s. Some interviewers might pay for your drink but I wouldn’t count on it.

2 Is it necessary to give some kind of resume to the inteviwer? If yes, what’s suppoed to be on it?

I don’t expect a resume. If the interviewer wanted one he would’ve asked for it. If you want to bring along the activities you prepared for Brown, do so. But consider the interview an opportunity to expand on something that your application did not include.

3 Is there anything else I need to give him? No

4 when I get to the place, how am I supposed to recognize the interviewer..? My interview place is probably going to be a coffee shop where tons of people are hanging out…

You should have worked that out when you arranged the meeting.

5 How much does the interviewer know about me prior to the interview? my GPA? SAT scores? EC’s?

He knows your name and contact info, your high school, the academic area you said you might concentrate in, and between 3-6 activities you are involved in, including sports. No GPA, SATs – and the interviewer should not have to know that info to interview you or do the write-up.

Good luck and have fun.

and SPR33: Brown would like everyone to have an interview.
