Fighting chance?

He's not helping because he's an ILR applicant as well and doesn't want to aid his "competition." As an ILR applicant myself, what i've gathered from previous applicants is that specific interest in ILR, (classes indicating interest, contact with ILR admissions, applicable extracurriculars, ILR essays) are the most important. Obviously GPA/HS GPA/SAT are crucial but if you are qualified but not deemed a good "fit" it is unlikely they will take you.

Besides the point, clearly he has done his research and is not simply a presitige "whore" otherwise he would not have applied to Michigan St and BU.

If you're telling me you don't wanna go to a prestigous school then you're a liar because that's what every student dreams of, and I do have an interest in ILR b/c my dad was a teamseter and was run my criminals like Tony Pro. You probably don't even know who Tony Pro is, I know more about labor relations than anybody and even though my grades aren't the greatest hopefully they'll see my passion and interest for this area and take me. I don't even come on this forum, I just googled it and got here, I only have like 10 posts, I just wanted some help, not criticism from a wise guy that has nothing better to do all day. Plus Mich St has no prestige why would I apply there? Most people never even heard of WashU either.

BU is plenty prestigious for many students and employers

oi ! washington U is popular! don't say that about about wash U! many have heard of it.

I'm sensitive to that kind of remark! :)

what are you talking about transferstudent? and what does criminology have to do with ILR? lol (oh yeah, and to answer your question, tony pro is anthony provenzano). Michigan state IS relatively prestigious (in its own right, if looked at holistically, and as a state school). It may not be #1 or even in the top 20, but we all know damn well its a good school, especially, I would argue, #2 in michigan. Plus, we also know well that you are using it as a back up, because what you really care about is the other schools. Wash U is very prestigious, and BU is also prestigious to all those that said it isnt...some of you guys need to do some hw

Nice job looking up Tony Pro online...labor rackets having nothing to do with a school that specializes in labor????? Stop with the "lol" that's so immature what is this AOL messaging? Plus I bet if you go up to 10 random people in the street and ask them about WashU they'll think about U-dub and Wazzu, yes these people aren't very bright but still you say Harvard, Standford, Princeton, Yale, etc they all know about it despite the fact that WashU is as good as any school in the country. WashU is still fighting for the respect it deserves.

like omg, that is like so immature and like you use aol messaging, like omg!!!

homie, if i would have looked up tony pro here, i think i would have pasted his bio on here or something.

and just because random people in YOUR neighborhood dont know about washU, that cant be said for elsewhere in the country.

wow bro you took 6 minutes to respond and you have like a thousand posts you must take this thing pretty seriously so whatever you win, I just came on here to get a few questions answered that's all, and you're honeslty gonna make the argument that WashU is as well known as Harvard and Princeton? Anyway let's just get back on topic...
