My cousin is in the last semester of an MBA program in a prestigious B-school, and the school has a no-tolerance policy if accused of 2 violations- result of which is expulsion from the university. My cousins most recent violation was that the paper that was submitted to the professor was not cited. It was unintentional, there was no author on those articles, whose work could have been cited. Nevertheless, he should have at least put in the website address, where he got it from. Now he is charged with plagiarism for it.
The first violation, which my cousin was not even aware was reported, was when another student asked if the project that was due was submitted, and when my cousin said "yes" he already submitted it, the student asked if he could send it to him, so that he could see what he did wrong. He then turned around and submitted the same work, as his own. But the worst part is, instead of that guys admitting that in front of the professor, that my cousin was not a party to it, and was not aware that he was copying my cousins work. The professor reported it as "collaboration". This is serious and can cause expulsion from the university for my cousin.

Anyone..any suggestions?
