“dont take it seriously, its all a big joke but it feels real while you’re in it” -> I thought that was life.

nah… i wouldnt say that about life, maybe in some aspects

high school is just an extreme example of that

I’d say most of the fights between students at my school occurred outside of school, just over the bridge. The ones that are at school are usually between underclassman and losers but they’re kinda interesting, well, the guy ones are cooler to watch.

But I’ve actually been in a few fights and I have to say that it’s never been a whole “great, I beat you, now you change your offensive views/attitude/whatever!” it’s just beating the other person to the ground so that they don’t get back up again and they’re still going to hate you and whatever it was that you were trying to stand for. It just doesn’t change anything, I mean it can feel good to really knock someone when they’re being a b**** but at the end of the day nothing changed. So I just find it pointless and I’ve learned to walk away or if possible lead my example or whatever, I mean if ignorant people are just…you can’t change them with words or fists so just don’t waste the energy.

(oh and my mom would also encourage me to only fight back but never start, which I’ve done! but there were times where I could have just ignored someone and they wouldn’t have started the confrontation)
