<p>Well, but does Ke$ha really need more of MY money? Or the Beatles? Or some dead dude? Basically, think of it as a nice system of stealing from the rich to give to the poor / distribution of wealth. No, I really don’t feel sorry for stealing from people making millions of dollars.</p>
<p>If it’s a really obscure band I’ll buy the album or whatever to help 'em out.</p>
<p>Of course, it’s not just the performer that gets the money. There’s also the marketers, people working in the distributing company, etc.</p>

<p>I pay to see good movie, but i get mediocre movies for free a la torrents. </p>
<p>Look, if something is amazing, I’ll buy it, but if it’s iffy and i’m on the fence then illegal downloading comes into play + I also use it to catch up on shows and, then i continue watching said show on T.V and support the show by letting them “advertise” to me and get their ad dollars.</p>
