"Files" and Deadlines

<p>For Georgia Tech Early Action, the website says that the Application Deadline is October 15th, and the Decision Deadline is January 10th. I have to have my "files" complete no later than two weeks prior to January 10th - what exactly does this mean? Do my writing supplements not need to be done at the same time as my regular application? What about my transcript? </p>

<p>I'm trying to get this all done ASAP, but if I don't need to get this all done right now, a whole lot of stress would be taken off my shoulders. Thanks.</p>

<p>Your “files” mean the other materials from the test agencies and your school and rec letter writers. Your deadline is firm: Oct 15. But you’re not the sole agent completing your file. </p>

<p>OK thank you. I just wanted to clear that up because I wasn’t sure myself, and my school takes 10 days to process transcript requests - I didn’t want to have to get everything done 10 days early!</p>
