I’m a senior and I’ll be attending college in the fall of 2017. I accidentally filled out the 2016-2017 FAFSA application a few months ago, when I should have filled out the 2017-2018 FAFSA. Earlier this month, I filled out the 2017-2018 FAFSA and it is processed. Does filling out the wrong application affect my financial aid award? What will happen to the 2016-2017 application that was sent before and will colleges look at my 2017-2018 application?
