fillin half a page with a few words

I found an essay question in some colleges that asked "Please share with us about how learned about college x?"
Now...is this a trick question that needs to be answered like an essay or do you just answer it straight. If answering straight is the opinion than what do i say...through princeton review's counselor-o-matic and just bcoz a couple o guys recommended me. OR do i make up a story about how i saw the college brochure on the GC's desk and started to feel that this is good.....blahblahblah!!!

some colleges only needed to list a word or two...and some require to fill out half a page!!!
EVERYONE... I NEED SAMPLES AND ADVICE...URGENT!!!!!

i recommend that you say, i discovered it on princeton's counselor-o-matic, and then you could embelish a little. say that the people who recommended it to you told you some amazing things about the school and then give some examples. and then you looked it up online to see if that was true.

ya thanks rachel......any more ideas people!

A lot of the applications I filled out had options to choose from including the viewbook, website, other website, GC, parent, teacher, etc. This question is probably just for the college's benefit. They want to know the best way to inform prospective students about their school. Don't worry about it too much. Just tell the truth. This won't determine whether or not you get into the school. ;D
